Schedule of Classes
Core courses for undergraduate finance majors are offered Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Elective courses are offered on a regular basis, generally at least once per academic year. To review the course descriptions, please visit Finance Course Offerings.

Students interested in enrolling in the following courses will need to contact the faculty members for approval.

CFA Exam Preparation
Students interested in taking the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation exam, a globally recognized standard for measuring the competence and integrity of investment professionals, will find that the required courses for this major begins their preparation. Additionally, finance electives such as FIN422, FIN423, FIN431 and FIN460 are recommended to add to students' knowledge of required core competencies and the candidate body of knowledge covered on the examination. Through the generous gift of Hal Lindquist, Chief Investment Strategist for The Blackstone Group, and Professor Don Seeley, CFA and Tucson CFA Chapter member, the Finance Department has a library of the textbooks recommended for the CFA Exam program preparation. Please contact Kay Ross for more information on borrowing these texts from the department library.
CFP and CFM
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Certified Financial Manager (CFM) designations are also available. Overviews of the designations and requirements of each are available at CFP and CFM.
