Finance Data Station

The Bloomberg Terminal
General Information
The Department of Finance maintains access to a Bloomberg Terminal for use by faculty and researchers. In addition, undergraduate and graduate students in various finance classes make use of the Bloomberg Terminal to provide them with real-time financial data and economic descriptors for class projects. The Bloomberg terminal is located in room 315L and is distinctive because of its "dual display" configuration.
The Bloomberg service provides comprehensive quotes, financial data, and news on numerous companies, as well as data on equity and debt securities and markets.
Access and use of the Bloomberg terminal is restricted to authorized users (faculty members and approved student users). A username and password is required for access, which (if you are using Bloomberg for a class) will be given to you by your professor. If you are a faculty member and need assistance with accessing the bloomberg terminal, please contact the Data Czar.
Other Resources for Finance Researchers and Students
The Finance Department also maintains access to the following resources for use by finance students:
Value Line (Online)
Information includes industry and company reports in the same format as the published Value line service.
First Call
First Call provides research reports on companies and industries written by major Wall Street analysts. Earnings estimates and stock ratings by the analysts are also available.
Zacks
Zacks software provides portfolio management analytical tools, financial data, comparisons and screening tools.
If you are interested in accessing these services, please contact the professor of your class or the Data Czar.
