Application Package Requirements
To expedite the processing of your application follow these instructions carefully. All information must be received for an application to be considered complete.
No work experience is required.
Note: You must apply to both the Finance Department and The UA Graduate College as described below.
Requirements
You must meet the minimum entrance requirements to apply for the one-year Master's in Finance program.
- A B.S. or B. degree in a business-related field (finance, accounting, economics, etc.)
- Minimum GPA: 3.00
- No work experience is required, nor does it affect the application decision.
- Applicants welcome from other fields though additional coursework
may be required (The Finance Dept. offers such prerequisite classes
during the summer session, prior to starting the program.) - GMAT results required
- TOEFL required for international students
if education has been in a non-English speaking country - Department application packet with materials as detailed below
- Please, no folders or dividers
Prerequisite Requirements
Students without extensive finance or accounting (senior-level) coursework may be required to take perquisite coursework in the summer prior to starting the MMF program. Courses are held on the UA campus and normally begin in early June, finishing in mid-August. Details of possible prerequisite requirements are available here.

- 2 Letters of Reference (in sealed envelop; no separate form required)
- 2 sets of Official Transcripts from all colleges/universities, except UA
- GMAT (School Code 4832; Program Code 5ZT-9Z-04)
- TOEFL (international students only; School Code 4832)
