1950

Charles R. Clark '54 is happily retired in Tucson. [9/04]

1960

Lawrence J. Robbins '62 has been a licensed real estate broker in Arizona and California for 30 years, primarily working on transactions as a partner involving apartment buildings, condominiums and small retail centers. He has written for apartment magazines and co-taught in the University of California system. [11/04]

Gerald (Jerry) F. Bott '64 spent the past 40 years in investments, retiring from Merrill Lynch in December 2001. Currently, he is a Managing Partner of Bott-Anderson Partners, Inc., located in Jacksonville, Florida. The company provides investment consulting to nonprofit organizations, primarily educational and health care. Jerry is very active with the U of A as member of the Executive Committee, UAAA, and as a member of the Scholarship Development Board. He is married, with two sons (still single). [11/04]

Gary L. Stuart '65 (and JD '67) graduated from UA in the "three-three" program, three years in the business college and three years in law school. With a business focus, he worked for the largest law firm in Arizona (Jennings, Strouss and Salmon). Thirty years later, he retired to start a one-lawyer firm (Gary L. Stuart, P.C.) and become an adjunct faculty member at the James E. Rogers College of Law. He is the current President of the Arizona Board of Regents. [9/04]

Shelly Zimbler '67 began his career as a sales rep for Procter & Gamble and, over his 24 years there, rose to head all six "Health and Beauty Aids" sales forces. He left to become President, Neutrogena USA and later to help sell the company to J & J. After a brief fling with retirement, Shelly became CEO of Redmond Products, the makers of Aussie Hair Care products, selling the company to Clairol and retiring in 1998. Since then he has consulted extensively with private equity firms. He and his wife, Naomi (Schildkraut) (UA '70), have been married for 37 years and have three children and two grandchildren. They spend half the year at their home in Boca Raton, Florida and half at their other home in Lake Tahoe. Richard (Dick) Knapp '68 is currently Vice President of Commercial Lending of BankWest, a group of Colorado banks, in Castle Rock, Colorado. He and his wife live in Larkspur, Colorado. [9/04]

1970

Bruce Ash '75 lives and works in Tucson. He is President/CEO of Paul Ash Management Company, LLC a real estate management and development business. Bruce is married with two grown sons, both working in Washington DC for the government. He is active in Jewish organizations as well as politics. [11/04]

Ron Ober '75 is the President of Policy Development Group, Inc. in Phoenix, the parent company for a regional government relations company and a regional strategic public relations entity. Ron is married to Gail Gordon ('73) and has two daughters: Jacqueline (24), a TV news producer in Phoenix, and Mikaela (20), a junior at Boston University. [6/06]

Robert L. Wilson '76 (MS-Finance) was recently appointed the regional operating officer of Integrated Electrical Services (IES), after holding the position of President of an IES subsidiary. [11/04]

Jeff Patch '77 is a real estate appraiser in Tucson. His daughter, Emily, is a freshman at the U of A. His son, David, is a senior at NAU, and his daughter, Robin, is an interior designer. Jeff is a member of the house corporation at the local chapter of Phi Gamma Delta. He is also looking forward to the fall Eller College Associates interviews. [9/04]

Allyn Gilbert '79 spent 15 years in the real estate and lending business before making a career change eight years ago into the airline "biz" as a pilot, flying for TWA then American Airlines. Laid off in early 2002, he started flying a corporate jet and many celebrities for NetJets (a Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffet company), one of the few aviation companies still expanding. The company is always looking for good business people who like Ohio, though Allyn has the choice to live in Napa Valley. His daughter, Jessica, is a sophomore at University of Oregon. [9/04]

Hank Amos, III '81 is President and Chairman of the Board for Tucson Commercial Real Estate & Trust. [6/05]

David Freshwater MS '81 founded and serves as president and CEO of The Fountains, a Tucson-based company that owns and operates seniors housing communities around the country. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Eller School of Business. His wife of 17 years, Diana, is the Executive Director of the Arizona Open Land Trust, and together the couple enjoys golf, photography, birding, hiking and saving land. Daniel J. Quigley '82 graduated from the Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, worked with Brown & Bain, P.A. in Phoenix and Tucson for nine years, and left as a partner in 1995 to form Quigley, Tang & Whitehill, P.L.C. (now known as Quigley & Whitehill, P.L.C.) in Tucson. In addition to his practice, Daniel is general counsel for the Tohono O'odham Gaming Authority that operates the Desert Diamond Casinos in Tucson and the Golden Ha:San Casino near Ajo. He has been married for nearly 21 years and has four children; his oldest daughter is a freshman at the UA. Daniel spent much of his spare time in the last few years working as the president and a member of the board to establish St. Augustine Catholic High School, where his youngest daughter is a sophomore. Ilona (Gyuro) Fague '83 lives in the northern California wine country with her husband, Joe, and three boys, Joe, Billy and Matthew, ages 8, 7 and 7. She retired (to full-time mom) in 2000 from Hawksbill Capital Management where she traded futures contracts for eight years: primarily Australian, Japanese and European financial futures and domestic U.S. futures in the overnight markets. She is now busy with her boys' sports activities and volunteering at their school (and a trip to Tucson every spring break). [9/04]

Andrew Ferguson, CFP, CIMA, ChFC '83 has been employed by Merrill Lynch since graduating and is currently a First Vice President and Partner of the ABD&F Group, a Private Wealth Advisory team headquartered in the Las Vegas offices. He is also an industry arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), serves on the Planned Giving Professional Advisor's Council for the University of Nevada Las Vegas Foundation, and is Chairman of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Las Vegas Foundation. Andy is the father of three boys, Alex (15), Andrew (13), and Ashton (12). [9/04]

Thomas Pandola '83 traded at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for 20 years. He is currently with TGP Trading in Scottsdale. He has two children, 3 and 7 years old. [7/07]

Joseph Reeves '83 has worked in the investment industry for almost 20 years and now lives in Chicago. He has a wonderful eight-year-old daughter. They visited Tucson together earlier this year. [9/04]

Gregory M. Sengpiel '83 is currently the Regional Vice President for CompuCom Systems, Inc. (Dallas, TX ; CMPC, Q), a computer services and reseller, leading a sales team working with Enterprise level customers in sixteen Midwest states. He manages an annual budget in excess of $300M and has complete P/L responsibility for the entire Central Region. Gregory and his wife, Tammi, have two children, (Ava, 3, and Dylan, 8 months) are both active in the community, church, and school and enjoy living in the Western Suburb of Chicago. They visit Arizona several times a year and are looking forward to buying a second home in Arizona this year. [9/04]

Daniel R. Adamson '84 has been in Las Vegas for the last 15 years and, in 1992, started his own real estate brokerage firm, R.O.I. Commercial Real Estate, Inc., specializing in retail space. [9/04]

Tracey (Starkweather) Davis '84 married her college sweetheart, Craig Davis (UA '83). She has worked in the financial services industry for 20 years and is currently a Financial Consultant in La Jolla with RBC Dain Rauscher. Tracey also serves on the Board of Directors of the WAFC (Women's Association of Financial Consultants). Tracey and Craig have two daughters, Jackie, age 12, and Tori, age 9. [9/04]

Scott Place '84 is Senior Vice President for Compass Bank in Tucson. [6/05]

Michael Gerla '85 is Executive Vice President and partner at The Atlantic Group, one of the leading office furniture companies in New York City. He lives in Scarsdale, is married and has two daughters, Julia and Caroline, ages 7 and 3. [9/04]

Janette Hunter '85 (MBA '91) is now the President/CEO of a new company she started in Tucson, April 2004 - Trax Transportation, specializing in transportation services for valet and self-parking for airport travelers, specialty shuttles for entertainment, employment, and airport transportation, and para-transit non-emergency medical transportation for the disabled and elderly. The company has grown from three employees to seventeen. Janette also provides consulting services to the public transportation industry. [9/04]

Jay J. Loson, MAI '85 began a career in commercial real estate appraisal and received the MAI designation in 2001, the highest achievement status attainable in the profession. Jay has been married to wife Susan for 11 years. They have a daughter, Emily, 9, and a son, Dalton, 6. [9/04]

Reta Oznick '85 is a realtor in Phoenix with Dan Schwartz Realty and loves her work. [9/04]

Richard A. Ziegner '85 earned an MBA from Northern Arizona University in 1994. He worked as a management consultant with the West Hudson Company in Dallas, Texas before joining Wells Fargo & Company in 1997. Richard is now a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the New Mexico Commercial Banking Office, managing commercial middle market relationship managers in the New Mexico area. He and his wife, Carole, have an eight year old daughter, Kathryn. [5/04]

A. David Zoller '85 is Vice President, Business Development with Power Brokers, LLC, an energy consulting firm in Dallas, Texas. [6/04]

G. Michael Edwards '86 worked for PMI Mortgage Insurance Company and lived in San Francisco for 13 years. In 1999, he accepted a promotion to set up their first international office in Hong Kong. After five years, Michael accepted a promotion to Vice President, Head of Risk and Operations, and relocation to the company's European subsidiary in Dublin, Ireland, which he finds to be a very exciting place. Louis Gerhardy '87 is a sell-side research analyst at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco, California covering the semiconductor industry. [9/04]

Judy Apostolik '88 has worked for The University of Arizona since graduating and is currently Director for Administrative and Financial Services at the UA Phoenix Campus of the College of Medicine.  She is married and has two daughters, ages 11 and 7. [10/04]

Claudia Elmore '88 received her MBA via full scholarship from Arizona State University.  After her MBA, Claudia worked in the fitness industry and was a professional skater sponsored by several large companies.  Currently, Claudia  Elmore is the President of Elmore Consulting Group (Irvine, California), a consulting firm that specializes in Human Resources and Compensation Management Strategy, including Executive and Board of Director Compensation.  In addition, Claudia serves as part of Expert Witness Teams in Human Resources court cases. Benjamin Preston '88 was recently promoted Account Controller to Service Delivery Manager with Electronic Data Systems in Golden, Colorado. [5/05]

Frank R. Varela '88 is currently living in Austin with his family, where he is a marketing manager with Advanced Micro Devices. He and his family also own two "The Little Gym" franchises. Frank is now an avid runner and will be completing in his fifth marathon this November at the New York City Marathon. He and his wife, Carla, have two girls, Emma 8, and Caroline 5. [9/04]

Michael Farrow '89 worked in entertainment finance for Warner Bros and Paramount (UPN Network) for 10 years before moving to the San Francisco Bay area in 1999 to work for the then startup ReplayTV. He is the Director of Finance for the PeoplePC division of EarthLink. Michael and his wife of one year, Ann, recently bought a house in Walnut Creek where they live with their puppy named Emma. 1990

Victor Espinoza '90, with his team, has built a strong finance and human resources systems consultancy based in San Jose, California, offering hands-on, ground-level solutions with core competencies in numerous Oracle Applications. He has worked with major companies (such as Visa, Hitachi, Intuit, Symmetricom, AMC, AIG, and others) in a variety of industries to solve complex operational issues. [9/04]

Andrea (Lewis) Fergerson '90 earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix '98 and was a Commercial Real Estate Lender by Wells Fargo Bank from 1997 to 2001. She has been working in Contract Administration / Negotiation for Raytheon Missile Systems since 2001. Andrea was married in May 2003. [9/04]

J.B. Groh '90 (MBA '94) started in a boutique investment banking shop doing private business valuations and small financings. For the last three years, he has worked as a securities analyst for D.A. Davidson (located in Portland, Oregon) in the institutional research department. He follows the aerospace suppliers sector, including companies such as BA, GR, ESL, TGI, PDP, LDSH, MOG'a, CW and HXL. He obtained the CFA designation and is married with three boys (7, 5 and 1-1/2). Timothy A. Haskins ASA '90 worked for Appraisal Sciences, Ltd., a small real estate appraisal firm in the metropolitan Phoenix area specializing in preparing commercial real estate appraisals for litigation, most often for condemnation purposes. He later worked for a local-area mortgage broker as a real estate analyst providing valuations for the placement of debt on commercial, industrial and multi-family housing projects. Tim joined First Appraisal Services in 2000 as a Senior Appraiser and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers. Tim married Brandi Williams (UA '90). Brandi is currently an Assistant Principal at a Phoenix-area high school. They have a daughter who started kindergarten this fall. [9/04]

Ronald L. Smith '90 is currently working as a consultant/programmer from his home in Syracuse, New York for SpectrumHR, a Denver-based Human Resource management software company. He works with end users to determine how the company's software can meet the users' needs, and if the software should be customized or the users processes changed. He and his wife, Jennifer Smith, have a son, Ronnie, age 5, and a daughter, Madison, age 3. Their adventure next year will be taking the children to Disney World in Florida. Craig Fielder '91 is a vice president and wealth manager with Merrill Lynch in Phoenix. He is married and has a beautiful two-year-old girl. [5/04]

Kevin Sheehan '91 is a Senior Vice President at GE Asset Management in Chicago, managing money for large corporate plans, foundations and endowments leveraging in-house capabilities in managing the GE Pension Trust. His role is Institutional Marketer calling on companies in the Midwest. Kevin and his wife, Liz, have 3 children: Kelsey, 6, Brenner, 5, and Aidan, 2. [9/04]

Laurie (Walker) Bagley '92 currently runs a wealth management firm, Strategic Wealth Advisors, with her husband, John Bagley (also UA '92). She has been named to the Phoenix Business Journal's 40 under 40, BizAZ's Top Entrepreneur's and in 2004 was named one of the Nation's Most Exclusive Wealth Advisor's by Robb Report's Worth Magazine. On a personal note, Laurie and John have a two-year old son and a seven-month old daughter. [5/05]

Curtis Brunton '92 is a principal with Prudential Mortgage Capital Company in San Francisco. [9/04]

Brian L. Coughlan '92 also completed MBA and MSIM degree programs. He has been working in finance and consulting for over 10 years and is currently a Portfolio Manager with Stellar Capital Management, LLC in Phoenix. Brian and his wife, Jessie, have one child, Alexander. [9/04]

Mike McKee '92 recently left his management career of over nine years with Enterprise Rent-A-Car to open his own insurance agency with Farmers Insurance Group in Pleasanton, California. His wife, Tanya, switched companies at the same time and is now a Team Manager with Long Beach Financial Company, a subsidiary of Washington Mutual. They have traveled a lot in the last year, including trips to New Zealand and to the "Lost Coast" in northern California. [9/04]

Craig A. Riley, CFM '92 (MBA '96) and his wife Kristen ('94) are now happily living in Austin, Texas. After spending time with Merrill Lynch and Northern Trust Private Wealth Advisory, Craig started his own firm in 2003. Craig is President and CEO of CK Riley & Company, Inc., an Investment Advisory and Financial Services firm focusing on Alternative Investments. Craig currently manages over $130 MM in assets, and consults on "things financial" for individuals, families and institutions. [9/04]

David L. Sourk, Jr. '92 married a UA graduate, Christine Taylor. They have two boys. He expressed his gratitude for Dr. Tom Moses' great finance course. [11/04]

Christopher T. Brown '93 has worked since graduation for Wells Fargo & Co. in several different roles, including corporate internal audit, managing support services for the internal technical help desk, and information security. Currently, he is Technology Manager within the Corporate Information Security group with a focus on customer and service delivery, workflow, and risk management. Christopher also graduated with an MBA from ASU in 2000. (He noted that his attendance at ASU was out of convenience and had no impact on his loyalty to UA!) He and his wife, Lisa, live in Chandler, Arizona with their four-year-old son, Grant. Jacob W. Kaldenbaugh, CFA '93 is currently working as the Director, Strategy & New Business Development for the IT Platform Group at NEC Corporation of America, the U.S. subsidiary of NEC Corporation, a Japanese technology solutions provider. He heads new business initiatives in areas such as SaaS, Cloud Computing and Data Centers. [7/08]

Gregg D. Templeton '93 began working on Wall Street right after college and is now Associate Vice President, Retirement Planning Specialist, Rule 144 with Morgan Stanley. Greg lives and works in Manhattan. [9/04]

Ryan Perez '94 is Vice President/Relationship Manager for First Regional Bank in Encino, California. He worked for several banks in the San Fernando Valley before joining First Regional Bank in May, 2002. He is living in Santa Clarita with his girlfriend, Kelly, and their two sons, Zachary and Jacob. [11/04]

Kyle Van Oort '94 is a financial advisor and portfolio manager for SJI Financial Services, a small independent investment firm in Tucson. SJI Financial Services is one of the few advisory firms assisting UA faculty and staff with their retirement plans and portfolios. Kyle's passion is auto racing, and he has completed a professional racing school class at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, California. [6/05]

Michael Levine '95 lives in San Francisco with his wife Pamela and their two children, Grace and Matt. He works as a project manager at Visa. [9/04]

Mike Rotsheld '95 is currently working as a mortgage banker account executive at 1st National Bank of Arizona in Las Vegas. He is entering a joint venture with several investors to create a private-label mortgage bank. [9/04]

Jerry A. Schneider '95 served in the Peace Corp from 1995 to 1998 and then moved to San Francisco where he is Territory Manager for Davol Inc. He trains general surgeons in surgical techniques. [11/04]

Tara (Gentry) Stelluti '95 attended Texas Christian University and received an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Accounting in 1997. Her career started in the finance arena: M&A due diligence, IPO, strategic planning, etc. In 1999, she joined Verizon's internal audit department, focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley consulting for the last two years. Tara recently accepted a new position with GE, running an internal audit department for GE's joint venture with Xerox. She lives in Dallas with her husband of two years. [9/04]

Brian Walls '95 currently lives in NYC and recently started his own financial planning firm. After years of consulting with high net worth clients, his firm will focus on smaller investors from the fashion and entertainment industries. David Cesar '96 is Project Manager for Waterstreet Project Management, Fidelity Investments, based in Boston. He married beautiful fellow UA alum, Amy (Rosenbald) Cesar and has two wonderful boys, Conlan and Ethan, with a third boy on the way. [9/04]

Chris Hanrahan '96 is an analyst with Sigma Capital Management in New York, a long/short hedge fund. The company is a subsidiary of SAC Capital in Stamford, CT. [9/04]

Edward "Bud" Heintz, III '96 has spent almost eight years working for Fidelity Investments as a Financial Planning Consultant based in Scottsdale. He is a candidate for the CFP (Certified Financial Planner). Bud is married to Michelle (Barta) Heintz '96, who recently received her master's in elementary education and is looking for to teaching this year. Their summer adventure was a road trip through all five major league ballparks in California, from San Diego to the Oakland A's. [9/04]

Kosta Karmaniolas '96 also received an MBA, Finance concentration, from the University of San Francisco '00. After working for General Motors and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, he went to work for Charles Schwab in 2000 as an analyst working on interest rates, share repurchasing and balance sheet management in the treasury group. Kosta lives in Pleasanton, California (outside of San Francisco) and was married last November. [9/04]

Bert "Bill" Kisselburg '96 worked for Morgan Stanley on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), then moved to Tradelink, a private trading company, where he first worked for the index option market making group on the CBOE and then trading S&P 500 futures via the Globex trading system. He left Tradelink at the end of 2000 and became a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, where he and another trader started a group to trade S&P 500 futures. Bill and his wife, Karen, live in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago and have a 7-month-old daughter, Ava. [9/04]

Chad Older '96 is works as an attorney at Chasen & Chasen, a Washington D.C.-based firm that specializes in real estate purchases, investments and the related issues. He lives with his wife, Stephanie, in a D.C. suburb. [10/06]

Greg Prugh '96 spent three years in Asia and Europe then returned home to chase the dot-com dream on the western seaboard. The millions proved as elusive as an "A" in Wang's tax accounting class, so Greg traded his stock options on eBay and became a broker with Sotheby's in Jackson Hole. Greg's development company called YAMA Development Group, LLC has just broken ground on its first mixed income development. [6/04]

Cortez W. Smith '96 (MBA '99) is currently the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs for the Department of MIS at The University of Arizona. [9/04]

Clint Jameson '97 formed CenterPointe Development Group in 2007 with UA alumnus Jason Haun (Entrepreneurship and Finance). CenterPointe is a commercial real estate development company that focuses on the acquisition, development, entitlement, and construction of high quality single-tenant, neighborhood and community shopping centers. [7/08]

Peter Messana '97 left his position as Senior Manager of Customer Experience for Dell Financial Service to pursue his life-long dream of owning his own company. He is now the owner of Austin Canoe & Kayak, a small business he purchased and has built into a high profitable and successful business. Peter and his wife live in Austin. [11/06]

Mark Schmitz '97 joined Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) after school and, in 2001, left to pursue a career with Ariba, INC., whose focus is Enterprise Software in the Spend Management area. Mark works in the Solution Delivery Strategy team developing analytical models. [6/04]

Arthur S. Bergmann '98 is currently a Senior Relationship Banker with Cal National Bank in Huntington Beach, California, where he also lives. [9/04]

Jennifer Boslin '98 is currently a Sr. Staffing Advisor at USAA Insurance & Financial Services, located in the San Antonio headquarters. She is new to San Antonio and looking forward to meeting other UA alums there. [9/04]

Michelle Eurich '98 received an Executive MBA from George Mason University in 2002. She currently owns her own business, Ladies Workout Express, a women's gym in Ashburn, Virginia, and is looking to expand into other businesses in the area. Michelle is married and has two boys, Dylan 12 and Parker 11. Her family travels and recently took up river rafting. [9/04]

Michael Nadel '98 is currently living in New York City and has worked as an equity derivatives structurer at Deutsche Bank for the last year, having held similar positions with UBS and PaineWebber (prior to the merger) for four years. He is semi-active in the Metrocats alumni club and recently showed a group of Eller students around Deutsche Bank and spoke to them about his experiences in NYC. Matt Strube '98 graduated from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business last August and moved to Austin, Texas with his wife.  He recently started work as a hedge fund analyst for the Texas Teacher Retirement System. TRS is a $100B public pension fund, with all of the portfolios managed "in-house". [4/06]

Matt Dorband '99 is working in San Francisco, California for CB Richard Ellis Commercial Real Estate as a senior associate specializing in office leasing in the downtown San Francisco market. He and his wife, Sara, live in a downtown condominium. [9/04]

Aaron Finley '99 recently married and moved to Guangzhou, a city next to Hong Kong on the mainland of China, where he is manager for the Tax and Business Advisory Services group of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd. He received his CPA license prior to moving to China and a master's in business taxation from the University of Southern California. [9/04]

Tannya Gaxiola '99 lives in New York City where she is a consultant at Bain & Company. After school she started work as an Investment Banker at Salomon Smith Barney in NYC, working in the Global Power group, focused on the Latin American utility sector. In 2000, she accepted a position in the Corporate Finance Department of Diveo, a Latin American internet startup headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tannya then moved to AOL Latin America (AOLA) working as a Revenue Assurance & Financial Analysis Manager, overseeing the Advertising Revenue line item company-wide. After completing an MBA at Harvard Business School (2006) she moved to New York. [7/07]

John Sahid '99 is currently working in sales for Johnson & Johnson in Southern California. He and his wife, Katie, welcomed a new baby daughter, Abby Jayne on September 14. [9/04]

Richard Starr '99 is a project manager for a commercial real estate developer in Phoenix. He earned a master's in real estate development in 2001 from University of Southern California. [9/04]

2000

John Beekman '00 received an MBA from Yale School of Management in May 2006. Teresa Carochi '00 has been working with the Arizona Research Labs at UA since 1995, starting as a student worker, then moving to a staff position in 1998. She is currently the program coordinator, senior with ARL's division of the Institute for the Study of Planet Earth. [9/04]

Alex Farquhar '00 has been working in Chicago as a research analyst at Ellwood Associates, a privately owned, small-to-mid-market, investment consulting firm. He has been studying for the CFA designation and has successfully passed Level 1. [9/04]

Michael B. Lees, Esq. '00 went on to receive a law degree at the University of San Diego School of Law and a masters in law degree (LL.M.) in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. He is currently working as an associate attorney with the La Jolla, California law firm Blanchard, Krasner & French specializing in tax law, business law and estate planning. Michael is engaged to Jessica Matulis to be married Labor Day 2005. Brian O'Connell '00 is currently VP for Benchmark Funds, Inc. in Tucson.  Benchmark offers investment services to high net worth individuals in Arizona, specializing in alternative investments, including hedge funds, mortgage funds and other investments with low correlation to the stock market. Brian is single and own a 1940's fixer-upper home in the Feldman Neighborhood near the U of A. [9/04]

Ryan Weissmueller, CPA '00 is Assistant Vice President in the Franchise Finance business for GE Commercial Finance in Scottsdale, AZ. The group finances the distribution of branded retail products, ranging from restaurants to beverage distributorships to hotels. Ryan is married to Julie (Jeffrey) '00. [9/04]

Kristen Bartch '01 began her career with Merrill Lynch as an intern, working in marketing full-time for the company upon graduation. In 2002, she joined UBS Financial Services Inc. and continued her marketing efforts before becoming a Financial Advisor early this year. [11/04]

Chris Gladney '01 married his fiancé, Megan Plennes, on October 13, 2007 in Carefree, Arizona.  [2/08]

Wojong (William) Kim ’01 continued his education at Michigan State University, obtaining a master in accounting degree. Since graduation, he has worked for Just Mortgage, a wholesale mortgage company, and is currently a vice president of the California branch. He is married and has two children. [10/07]

Robert Naidoff '01 is currently an MBA student at the Stern School of Business at New York University. In summer 2007, he will start working on the distressed credit trading desk at JP Morgan and Company. [2/07]

Ronya Naim '01 moved to Egypt after graduation and is the assistant to the Chief Librarian and the Head of the Business & Budget Office for the Library Services Sector at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the reconstruction of the Ancient Library of Alexandria. The facilities include six libraries, museums, a planetarium, research centers and conference areas. She lives in Alexandria. [1/05]

Christina Slater MBA '01 moved from First Magnus Financial and successfully transferred her skills to the medical/education sector where she now works for the American Board of Radiology. Her clients are MD's and she is learning about the medical board examination process. Kristen Beatty '02 began her career as a financial analyst with IBM Global Services in Boulder, Colorado, moving to Tempe, Arizona as lead analyst for a larger account. In February, 2005, she joined M One, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in corporate governance and strategic planning, primarily for financial institutions. [5/05]

Patrick Horsman, CFA '02 is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Blue Sand Securities in New York. The firm raises assets from institutional investors for a variety of alternative investment vehicles. [11/07]

Chih-Yu (Jean) Lee MMF '02 successfully passed the Level III CFA exam last month. She is currently working in mergers and acquisitions Transaction Services for PricewaterhouseCoopers in Taiwan. [2/06]

Lora Mwaniki-Lyman MMF '02 held two economic research positions at UA and is now the Regional Economist with the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) in Phoenix providing expertise to MAG agencies and staff on macro and regional economic issues. She attributes her professional success to the exceptional faculty at the University that she came in contact with both in her capacity as a student and staff member and her work ethics to her upbringing in Kenya. Jeffrey G. Stingley '02 spent two years in the commercial banking industry underwriting large-dollar commercial real estate loans in Kansas City. He recently moved to Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate as an investment specialist, primarily focusing on multi-family investment properties. Ryan Turner '02 is currently working at T. Rowe Price in Baltimore, Maryland as an associate analyst on the investment team covering financial services - and he loves it. [9/06]

Michael Beer '03 currently resides in New York where he works as a research associate within Bear Stearns' highly regarded equity research group. Michael's focus is primarily centered upon conducting financial and industrial analysis in the transportation space. [1/07]

Rebecca L. Hughes '03 moved to Plano, Texas where she works as an assistant procurement specialist in JCPenney's Business Services Procurement group. Since June of 2004, she has represented JCP as a member of the Women's Business Council certification committee, an organization that encourages the development of companies that are both owned and controlled by women. Outside work, Rebecca is actively involved with mentoring and leadership to both junior high and college students through the ministries of Grace Outreach Center. Kaitlin Murphy '03 began her career as a real estate analyst for Holliday Fenoglio Fowler in the Orange County, CA office. She was recently accepted to the London School of Economics where she will attend graduate school this fall, pursuing a Masters of Science (MSc) in Real Estate Economics and Finance. Chris Kitaeff MMF '05 worked as an analyst with ING Funds in Scottsdale, Arizona following graduation. He then moved to New York City to work with FRM, international hedge fund specialists. Trent Kruse MMF '05 was recently appointed Investor Relations Manager at J.C. Penney at the corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas, after starting his career as financial planning analyst in the strategic planning department of the company. [7/08]

Daysha Balloun '06 started with Vanguard's Analyst and Client Engagement (ACE) program in Scottsdale and then became an operations supervisor within Vanguard's Institutional Retirement Plan Services division. Stephen Parsey ’06 began his career with accounting departments for several big-budget films in Los Angeles and credits his UA alumni connections and Eller coursework for the opportunities. To pursue his passion for filmmaking, he applied and was accepted to the Master of in Cinema Production program, with emphases in directing and cinematography, at the USC School of Cinematic Arts in early 2009. After completing the program, he plans to open a production and content development company and direct feature films and long-form television programs. [1/10]

Josh Harlan MMF ’08 works for Sunrise Capital Partners, a hedge fund in Solana Beach, California.  The company focuses on trading in currencies, commodities and indexes based on technical analysis of trend analysis, channel breakout and time series analysis. [7/09]

Jason Bondzio ’07, MMF ’09 is starting his career in the Houston area with the North American offices of Repsol, a large oil and gas company, as a natural gas scheduler. This position will give him the opportunity to get a full understanding of natural gas markets, in particular the Northeast. [2/10]
